Tether Launches $400M StableFund With Fasanara to Expand USDT Private Credit
Tether has partnered with Fasanara Capital to launch StableFund, a $400 million private credit fund that will finance short-duration, asset-backed lending opportunities through fintech platforms. The fund aims to target up to $3 billion in additional institutional capital and will focus on lending to small and medium-sized businesses and consumers across more than 60 countries.
Fasanara Capital will serve as the investment manager for StableFund, while Tether will act as co-sponsor, originator, and advisor. The company will provide stablecoin settlement infrastructure, including on- and off-ramp connections and treasury rails.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that the initiative is designed to extend the reach of USDT beyond digital-asset markets, allowing it to be used as a global currency for cross-border lending.
