Tether Releases Audited Statements Showing Strong Reserves

Share

Tether, the company behind the world's largest stablecoin, has released audited financial statements for 2025. KPMG US performed the full independent audit, which showed that Tether's reserves exceeded its liabilities by $6.8 billion.

The audit marks a significant move by Tether to reassure markets about its finances following heightened global scrutiny of crypto companies. Tether has been criticized in the past for lacking transparency, and this audit aims to address those concerns.

Tether's chief financial officer stated that audited financial statements demonstrate the company's strong reserves, which include dollar-denominated assets such as U.S. Treasuries. The audit also included a physical count of every gold bar held by Tether.
