Tether Surpasses $1.5 Billion in Quarterly Profits Amid Global Market Volatility
Tether's quarterly USDT attestation for Q2 2026 shows a net operating profit of around $1.5 billion, despite highly volatile global markets.
The stablecoin market as a whole saw a decline in volume, but Tether continued to grow its share to over 60% of the global stablecoin market.
Tether's profits come primarily from short-term US Treasury bills and repo agreements, which accounted for around $140.64 billion of its reserves at the end of June.
The company also reported increasing its gold reserves by 14 tonnes to over 146 tonnes and continuing to hold Bitcoin and other assets in its reserves.
