Tether Teams Up with Nairobi Securities Exchange on Tokenized Securities
Tether has signed a deal with the Nairobi Securities Exchange to explore tokenized securities and blockchain-based market infrastructure.
The memorandum of understanding outlines plans for the companies to work together on various projects, including the use of USDt as a settlement layer.
Tether's Hadron platform will be used for issuing and trading tokenized securities, while the parties will also assess instant settlement mechanisms.
The agreement is seen as part of the growing trend of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), which have reached $36.8 billion in value excluding stablecoins.
