Tether Unveils Open-Source AI Translation Models for Africa and Europe

Tether, the issuer of the USDT stablecoin, has made significant strides in advancing underserved communities across Africa and parts of Europe by releasing open-source AI translation models.

The TranslatePsy-AfriSLM model supports 19 African languages, covering nearly half of Africa's population, while the TranslatePsy-EuroNano model supports nine European languages with minimal storage requirements.

Tether's CEO has emphasized the importance of bridging the digital divide, stating that language should not determine who can benefit from artificial intelligence.
