Tether's Stable Profit Machine Keeps Churning Out Billions
Tether's latest financials show the stablecoin issuer raked in $1.3 billion in net operating profit during Q2, according to its BDO attestation statement.
This figure is a result of Tether's business model, which benefits from scale and generates substantial income from large holdings of short-term U.S. Treasury instruments and similar cash-equivalent assets.
The reported excess reserves also rose to $5.2 billion above full USDT backing, providing a cushion for the issuer in case of asset fluctuations or operational costs.
Tether's financial health is crucial due to its central role in global crypto trading, and every attestation update receives significant attention in the market.
