Tether's USDT Now Available on Confidentiality Protocol Zama

Tether's USDT is now available on Zama, an on-chain confidentiality protocol that uses fully homomorphic encryption to shield transaction amounts and balances from public view.

Zama wraps public ERC-20 tokens into confidential versions through a two-transaction process, preserving composability and verifiability in DeFi applications.

cUSDT, the confidential version of USDT, has recorded $131.3 million in cumulative shielded volume as of mid-September 2026, with the current shielded total value locked at $7.7 million.

Zama's protocol allows users to exchange cUSDT with other confidential tokens and has added 16 Morpho vaults, including products denominated in cUSDT, backed by Steakhouse Financial.
