Texas Stock Exchange Lands First Listings with Energy-Focused ETFs
The Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) has secured its first primary listings from two energy-focused ETFs, marking a significant milestone in its development. Westwood Holdings Group filed a prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 31, 2026, for the Westwood Salient Enhanced Power and Infrastructure ETF (PWRX), naming TXSE as the primary listing venue.
PWRX is an actively managed ETF that targets companies across the energy and power spectrum, from traditional fossil fuel producers to renewable energy operators and data-center infrastructure companies. The fund can invest in companies of any size, making it a unique addition to the market.
Westwood CEO Brian Casey described the choice of TXSE as a statement about innovation and Texas-based leadership in finance. TXSE is a fully electronic national securities exchange that operates without a physical trading floor and has received SEC approval to operate as a national exchange.
The first listing on TXSE matters because exchanges are network businesses, with value compounding as more issuers and liquidity providers join the platform. TXSE needed a first mover, and PWRX's listing provides that momentum. The energy and infrastructure tilt of PWRX also plays to TXSE's geographic identity, given Texas's status as the largest energy-producing state in the US.
