Thai SEC Seeks Comments on Bitcoin, Ether ETF Rules
Thailand's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has published an August draft of rules for crypto products, including Bitcoin and Ether ETFs. The regulator is seeking comments from the public until September 20. This move follows a previous consultation in April, where most respondents supported the SEC's approach to regulating these products.
The current proposals remain preliminary and require further revisions and formal authorization before becoming a finalized rulebook. This multi-step process prolongs regulatory uncertainty for crypto firms, exchanges, DeFi projects, and token launches in Thailand.
