Thailand SEC Targets $150K Daily Stablecoin Transfers and Wallet Exchanges

Share

The Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is proposing stricter rules for stablecoin transfers through licensed crypto platforms. The proposed rule would limit daily transfers to $150,000 in each direction, including both sending and receiving stablecoins. This means that users would not be able to send more than this amount to or from their wallets on regulated platforms.

The SEC is also planning to prevent users from transferring stablecoins to wallets owned by others through these platforms. This would add an extra layer of checks to ensure that crypto moves are legitimate and compliant with regulations.
