Thin Liquidity Fuels XRP's $43 Billion Price Surge

XRP's price surge from $1 to $1.70 is a stark reminder of how thin liquidity can amplify price swings.

Zach Rector analyzed XRP's market activity and found that despite only $44.3 million in net inflows, the asset's market capitalization increased by $43.74 billion over two days.

This '986x market-cap multiplier' highlights how liquidity can be a double-edged sword - while it can propel prices upwards, it can also accelerate pullbacks when order books are thin.

Rector attributed the move to limited sell-side liquidity, noting that there were few sellers available until XRP approached the $1.60-$1.70 zone.

The analysis also touched on technical levels and bullish projections, with some analysts predicting XRP could reach $3 or $4 within 12 months, while others see targets of $8, $13, and $27 by 2030.
