THORChain Expands Decentralized Exchange Capabilities with Version 3.20

THORChain has upgraded its decentralized exchange protocol to version 3.20, introducing several major updates.

The upgrade allows for native support of Monero (XMR) and Zcash (ZEC) swaps, enabling users to exchange these assets directly with popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and stablecoins.

This integration does not require wrapped versions of XMR or ZEC, and users can maintain a self-custodial setup throughout the process.

The addition of Monero is significant, as access to XMR through centralized exchanges has become limited in some markets. THORChain's support provides an alternative route for XMR holders to trade their assets without relying on centralized platforms.
