ThorChain Swap Volume Slips in August Amid Ongoing User Growth

THORChain's August swap volume came in at $613 million, down 23% from July's record high of $796.97 million.

This decrease was not accompanied by a massive daily spike like July's, which saw a single session reach $75 million and significantly boost the monthly figure.

Despite this decline in trading volume, user activity on the platform continued to grow, with active wallets reaching 23.5K - up 57% month-over-month - while 21.8K new wallets joined during August, bringing total unique wallets to over 1.13 million.

The launch of Protocol-Owned Liquidity under v3.20 added a new layer to the network, directing 20% of system income toward liquidity positions controlled by the protocol instead of distributing it externally.
