THORChain Tackles Sandwich Attacks with Swap Queue Feature
THORChain has implemented a Swap Queue to prevent sandwich attacks and reduce MEV costs for traders. This feature is part of THORChain's ongoing efforts to improve its platform.
A recent attacker, linked to the third wave of Coldcard thefts, has started moving stolen Bitcoin through THORChain. The exploiter shifted 97.09 BTC ($7.7 million) using the Swap Queue and CoinJoin, routing funds through the largest vaults.
The $613M in August swap volume for THORChain is down 23% from July's unmatched $796.97M surge. However, active wallets climbed 57% to 23.5K, while 21.8K new wallets joined the platform.
Unstoppable Wallet has added native support for RUNE, TCY, and RUJI, as well as other secured assets from THORChain in its Android version. The wallet also announced plans to add a stablecoin wallet feature soon.
