THORChain Unleashes v3.20 Upgrade with Stable Reserve and POL Enhancements
THORChain has released its v3.20 protocol upgrade, which introduces significant changes to the network's liquidity model and security infrastructure.
The Stable Reserve feature allows eligible stablecoins to trade directly against protocol-owned stablecoin inventory, eliminating liquidity fees and slip when sufficient inventory is available.
This addition aims to improve THORChain's competitiveness for stablecoin swaps and provides a faster stablecoin lane while preserving fallback to standard pools when reserve inventory cannot fill a trade.
Protocol-Owned Liquidity (POL) also gains momentum with the deployment of two Mimirs, which control the percentage of System Income allocated to POL and determine which pools receive POL liquidity.
Beyond these economic changes, v3.20 advances Monero and Zcash integrations, prepares BNB, Base, and Solana trading to resume, expands ERC-20 Memoless Swaps, and strengthens node and vault security.
