TIME Puts AI at Center of Ambitious Expansion Plans
TIME Editor in Chief Sam Jacobs and Executive Editor Alex Altman have announced significant investments in AI coverage, part of an ongoing effort to lead in remaking the world by artificial intelligence. This includes a major overhaul of their weekly newsletter In the Loop, which will relaunch with a new format in just a few weeks and expand to five days a week later this year.
The publication has also welcomed two new senior correspondents: Naomi Nix, who joins from The Washington Post, and Manisha Ganguly, who comes from The Guardian. They will be based in Washington and London respectively and focus on AI-related topics such as policy, regulation, and national security.
In addition to these staff additions, Harry Booth will relocate to San Francisco in January to anchor the magazine's coverage of the world's most important AI hub.
