Tinder Co-Founder Bets Big on American Bitcoin Amid Quarterly Loss
Justin Mateen, co-founder of Tinder and director at American Bitcoin Corp, has invested nearly $2 million in shares of the company, despite its recent quarterly loss of $59 million. The loss was mainly due to Bitcoin price volatility affecting accounting valuations, not actual sales.
The purchase includes 1.8 million shares worth approximately $2 million at a price of about $1.03 each. Mateen also received restricted stock units that vest in 2027, aligning his interests with the company's future performance.
