Tinder Co-Founder Buys $2M in American Bitcoin Stock Amid Company Losses
Justin Mateen, co-founder of Tinder and independent director of American Bitcoin Corp, made a significant investment in his company by purchasing nearly $2 million worth of ABTC's Class A common stock on March 3, 2026.
Mateen bought 1.8 million shares at an average price of about $1.03 per share, paying a total of roughly $1.85 million.
Interestingly, this move comes after American Bitcoin Corp reported a Q4 2025 loss of $59 million, primarily driven by bitcoin price fluctuations.
Fellow board member Richard Busch also made investments around the same period, indicating that the company's directors have faith in its future prospects.
