TMTG Pulls Back from Crypto Deals Amid Market Saturation

Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) is reportedly scaling back its cryptocurrency deals. The company, backed by former President Donald Trump, had previously announced partnerships with Crypto.com to build a Cronos treasury and develop a prediction market called Truth Predict.

The decision comes as the digital asset treasury market has become saturated over the past year, according to TAE's interim CEO Kevin McGurn. The market saw significant growth in 2023, with companies like Strategy adopting cryptocurrencies onto their balance sheets.

However, a slump in prices since October has hurt the stock of several companies that followed this trend. As a result, Trump Media is pulling back from two of its crypto deals, but the exchange-traded funds launched by TMTG, Yorkville Acquisition Corp., and Crypto.com will continue.
