TMTG Slammed with $238M Net Loss on Bitcoin Price Plunge
Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the parent company of Truth Social, reported a massive net loss in Q2 2026 due to the plummeting value of its Bitcoin stash. The company's quarterly revenue came in at $1.7 million, up 89% year-over-year from $883,300.
The significant loss is attributed to non-cash unrealized losses on digital assets, specifically a decline in Bitcoin's price. TMTG held approximately $190.4 million worth of non-cash unrealized losses, with $116.7 million directly tied to the 13% drop in Bitcoin's value during the quarter.
The company's total net loss in Q2 2026 was $238.1 million, a staggering increase from its $20 million deficit in Q2 2025. TMTG also spent $25.6 million on litigation costs related to legacy issues stemming from its SPAC merger.
