Tokenization Supercycle Sparks Surge in Ethereum Price

Fundstrat's Tom Lee believes tokenization could provide a major tailwind for crypto. He thinks it will be a structural trend that benefits crypto, and even called it 'a freight train that cannot be stopped'.

Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) surged 8% to $2,080 on Wednesday, with Lee calling out a potential cloud breakout as its first bullish trend signal since October 2025. He also backed Robinhood Markets Inc. (NASDAQ:HOOD) CEO Vlad Tenev's tokenization thesis.

Tenev said that tokenization could transform the infrastructure underlying traditional finance and 'eat the entire financial system.' He thinks we're at the beginning of a super cycle, which will eventually take over the entire financial system.
