Tokenized AMAT vs Nasdaq AMAT: A Tale of Two Market Sizes
The tokenized version of Applied Materials (AMAT), known as AMATB, has a much smaller market capitalization than its Nasdaq-listed counterpart. According to CoinMarketCap, AMATB's market cap is roughly $1.8 million, while Applied Materials reported 793 million shares outstanding in its 2025 annual report.
While tokenized products like AMATB offer fractional exposure and 24/7 spot trading on BNB Smart Chain through Binance's bStocks framework, they also come with a different dividend and risk stack. Dividends on bStocks are automatically reinvested after applicable withholding tax, rather than being paid out as cash to direct shareholders.
Investors should be aware that the tokenized route is not interchangeable with Nasdaq-listed AMAT in practice, despite its 1:1 backing model. The comparison between the two instruments has limits, and circulation and market capitalization are not the same measures as shares outstanding or daily trading volume.
