Tokenized Assets Surge to $31 Billion
Tokenization of the financial market is no longer just a topic for crypto enthusiasts. Major industry players are increasingly transferring rights to real assets onto the blockchain, turning stocks, bonds, and other instruments into digital code that can be owned, transferred, and accounted for more quickly.
The value of tokenized assets has grown rapidly, reaching $31 billion in the summer, up from just $5 billion at the beginning of last year. This surge is driven by large asset managers and investment banks seeking to work more efficiently with trillions of dollars in assets.
By 2030, the market for tokenized assets could grow by about 30 times and reach $16 trillion. Tokenization can significantly change finance, speed up settlements, increase the accessibility of investment products, and make the financial market more flexible.
