Tokenized Bank Deposits Go Multichain with Keeta-LayerZero Partnership
Keeta and LayerZero have partnered to bring tokenized commercial bank deposits to major public blockchains. This new service will allow institutions to move bank-backed digital money across several networks, including Ethereum, Solana, Base, and the Keeta Network.
The companies plan to launch the service in July 2026, with an initial release covering nine fiat currencies: USD, EUR, JPY, CNY, GBP, CAD, MXN, AED, and HKD. These tokens will be backed by commercial bank deposits held through Bivo and its partner-bank network.
Keeta Stablecoins will use LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token Standard, which allows one fungible token to exist across several chains while maintaining a single global supply. The issuing institution will retain control over contract authority, transfers, and compliance settings.
