Tokenized Equities Reach New Heights with 140% Market Cap Surge
Tokenized equities are growing rapidly, but Bitget's research report suggests that listing stock-backed tokens is no longer enough. The active market capitalization of tokenized stocks and equities has increased by over 140% from $814 million to $1.976 billion.
The exchange is positioning itself with two separate products designed for traditional investors and crypto-native traders: Stock+ and Reality rTokens. Stock+ provides direct ownership of over 10,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs through regulated brokerage infrastructure, while Reality rTokens deliver tokenized equity exposure that can be traded with stablecoins, transferred to compatible wallets, and integrated into selected crypto workflows.
The report shows that retail traders accounted for $1.11 billion, or 95.1% of total spot volume, in Reality rTokens generated $1.16 billion in cumulative spot trading volume between June 2 and July 19, averaging $24.2 million per day. Semiconductors-related assets dominated trading activity, representing 46.6% of total rToken volume, followed by technology stocks at 34.3%.
Bitget's report argues that pricing alone doesn't determine execution quality. The exchange posted the lowest median bid-ask spread and recorded the deepest top-of-book liquidity for every asset tested across five benchmark markets.
