Tokenized ETF Market Surges to $611M in One Year
The tokenized ETF market has experienced explosive growth over the past year, surging from near-zero to $611.5 million in market cap as of mid-August 2026. This represents a staggering 826.1% increase year-over-year, with the number of distinct offerings expanding to between 640 and 683.
Ethereum dominates the issuance landscape, followed closely by BNB Chain and Solana. On the issuer side, Ondo Finance leads the way with $167.4 million in contributions so far this year, while Binance's bStocks and xStocks products trail behind.
The growth of tokenized ETFs has been rapid, with benchmarks suggesting that the market cap sat at around $300 million in March 2026 before climbing to between $439 million and $526 million by July. The discrepancy between these estimates reflects a methodological problem in the market, as different platforms count products differently.
Ondo Finance's early mover advantage has given it a significant lead in year-to-date issuance, while Binance's distribution through bStocks and xStocks represents a different kind of moat: access to tens of millions of existing users who can hold tokenized ETFs without needing to learn a new platform.
