Tokenized Gold Proves Resilient in Stress Test, But Lags in Adoption

Share

Tokenized gold has passed a stress test designed to gauge its resilience in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, but surprisingly, less than 2% of it is being used as collateral.

The stress test, which was conducted by an unnamed entity, aimed to simulate market downturns and other extreme scenarios to assess the tokenized gold's ability to withstand them.

According to the results, tokenized gold performed well in these simulations, demonstrating its potential as a safe-haven asset and a viable store of value within DeFi platforms.

However, despite this promising performance, only a small fraction of the available tokenized gold is being utilized as collateral for loans or other financial transactions.
