Tokenized RWAs Surge to $23.6B as 24/7 Trading Gains Traction
The market capitalization of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) has reached approximately $23.6 billion, up roughly 66% from $14.1 billion at the start of the year, according to DeFiLlama data.
This growth is driven by interest across multiple asset classes, with tokenized funds making up the largest share at about 44.5%, equivalent to $10.5 billion. Tokenized gold and commodities account for roughly $6.5 billion, while tokenized equities represent nearly $4 billion.
Tokenized stocks have crossed $1 billion in on-chain value as of Tuesday, with Ondo and xStocks accounting for the majority of that activity.
An RWA(dot)xyz spokesperson attributed part of the demand to frustration with traditional market structures. 'The real breakthrough here is that a handful of products have become significantly easier to access, distribute, and use,' they said.
