Tokenized Shares Surge to $2.6B On-Chain Market Cap
Tokenized shares are digital representations of traditional shares on the blockchain. According to recent data, their on-chain market capitalization has exceeded $2.6 billion, a fivefold growth from last year's figure of $329 million.
The Solana platform stands out for its fast transaction times and low costs, making it an ideal platform for trading tokenized stocks. In June 2026, the total volume of tokenized stocks on Solana exceeded $10 billion, reflecting the growing demand for these digital assets.
However, the market is dominated by a few large issuers, including Ondo Finance, Kraken's xStocks, and Binance's bStocks, which control over 80% of the market. This concentration brings counterparty risks, as investors rely on the reliability of the issuing entities.
Despite these risks, demand from outside the US is supporting the growth of tokenized stocks, with analysts predicting that they could reach a market capitalization of $4 billion by the end of this year.
