Tokenized Stock Market Activity Surges to $29.5 Billion
The tokenized stock market has experienced a significant surge in activity, with $29.5 billion in on-chain transfers over the past 30 days, representing a growth of more than 415%. This increase is even more impressive when compared to the outstanding value, which only grew by 1.45% during the same period.
The number of active addresses and holders has also seen significant increases, with monthly active addresses rising 209% to 1.3 million and holders increasing 167% to 2.36 million. This growth in participation is evident across all metrics, including transfer volume, which was 11.6 times the sector's distributed value.
The top three platforms controlling roughly 81% of the $2.54 billion market are Ondo, Kraken xStocks, and Binance bStocks, with each holding significant shares of distributed value.
Crypto platforms such as Coinbase, Bitwise, Bybit, and Arcus have expanded on-chain equities into decentralized finance (DeFi), offering tokenized U.S. stocks for eligible users outside the United States. However, this integration also introduces smart-contract, oracle, liquidity, and liquidation risks that investors must consider.
