Tokenized Stock Trading Surges to $3B Weekly Volume on Robinhood, BNB, and Solana
Tokenized stock trading has reached new heights, with weekly spot volume reaching nearly $3 billion. According to Grayscale Investments, this represents a significant milestone in the growth of blockchain-based equities.
The three leading networks for tokenized equity trading are Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, and Solana, which accounted for the majority of trading activity during the latest week covered by research. These chains have been gaining traction since their launch, with Robinhood Chain launching its public mainnet on July 1.
Grayscale's data show that total value locked in protocols using tokenized stocks has risen above $110 million, with Solana-based Kamino and Jupiter being significant sources of lending activity. However, only about 5% of the broader tokenized-equity market is currently deployed in on-chain financial applications.
Token Terminal's dashboard estimates that the tokenized-stocks market capitalization stands at around $3 billion, which is significantly smaller than the $34.3 billion held by tokenized funds.
