Tokenized Stocks Eclipse $1 Billion in Labor Day Weekend Trades
The Labor Day weekend saw tokenized stocks traded over $1 billion on decentralized exchanges like Solana, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, and Base. This was a remarkable feat considering that traditional US equity markets were closed for the holiday.
Roughly $1.01 billion in volume was generated on Saturday and Sunday alone, nearly matching Friday's $1.02 billion. Monday added another $398.3 million to this total.
Among these platforms, Robinhood Chain dominated the weekend with $572.8 million in trades, accounting for more than 57% of total activity. BNB Chain's bStocks platform also made a significant impact, with a single fund generating $180.5 million during the holiday weekend. Its cumulative tokenized stock volume has now exceeded $5.2 billion.
Base, Coinbase's Layer 2 network, launched its B20-standard tokens for tokenized equities in August and racked up $730.9 million in cumulative volume over the 30 days leading into mid-September. Much of this activity flowed through Aerodrome, the leading DEX on Base.
