Tokenized Stocks Hit $1 Billion, Ondo Finance Dominates Market
The market for tokenized stocks has reached $1 billion in value, according to data from RWA(dot)xyz. This milestone reflects growing demand from investors seeking blockchain-based access to traditional stock markets.
Ondo Finance accounts for roughly 58% of this total, while products issued under the xStocks platform hold approximately 24%. Together, these two providers control the majority of the market, according to RWA(dot)xyz data and a report published by Foresight Ventures.
The sector is consolidating around its early leaders due to regulatory barriers, liquidity advantages, and differing tokenization models, as argued in the Foresight Ventures report. Alice Li, an investment partner at Foresight Ventures, said that a competitive platform must simultaneously manage liquidity infrastructure, multi-jurisdiction legal rights, and DeFi composability.
The pace of growth matters as much as the headline figure, according to Marko Vidrih, co-founder and COO of RWA(dot)io. He noted that tokenized stock values rose roughly 2,900% over 12 months due to major platform launches, improving regulatory conditions, and infrastructure improvements.
