Tokenized Stocks Hit $3B Weekly Volume as Robinhood, BNB, and Solana Lead
Tokenized stock trading has reached new heights, with weekly spot volume reaching nearly $3 billion in August. This milestone marks a significant expansion of markets that allow investors to trade economic exposure to traditional stocks on public blockchains.
The three leading networks for tokenized equity trading by volume are Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, and Solana. These chains have captured the majority of trading activity, with Grayscale Investments reporting that their combined weekly spot volume peaked near $3 billion early in the month.
Robinhood Chain has quickly become an important part of the market after launching its public mainnet on July 1. The Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 was built using Arbitrum technology and designed specifically for financial services and tokenized real-world assets.
