Tokenized Stocks Surge to 15% of RWA Market
Tokenized stocks have seen significant growth in recent months, with their share of the RWA market tripling to 15% by August. This represents a substantial increase from January's levels and highlights the growing interest in on-chain finance among retail investors.
The total market capitalization of tokenized stocks has reached $2.8 billion, driven by increased activity in the sector. RWA transfer volume more than doubled to $20 billion this month from about $9 billion last month, making tokenized stocks a key entry point for new investors.
Ondo Finance, Binance's bStocks and xStocks are currently dominating the market, accounting for approximately 77% of the total. These platforms use synthetic structures that track the price movements of actual stocks, allowing for faster circulation and broader trading.
