Tokenized Stocks Surge to Nearly $3 Billion Weekly Volume
The tokenized stock market has experienced significant growth in recent months, with a weekly spot volume of nearly $3 billion recorded at the beginning of August. According to Grayscale, this growth is largely due to the popularity of platforms such as Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, and Solana.
BNB Chain had already surpassed $5.2 billion in cumulative volume on tokenized stocks by the end of June, with over 700 stocks and ETFs available on its ecosystem.
Solana is also advancing quickly, with a recorded volume of $5.77 billion in tokenized assets in the second quarter, representing a 114% increase from the previous quarter.
Despite this growth, Grayscale notes that only about 5% of the tokenized stock market is currently deployed in onchain financial applications, with a locked value exceeding $110 million.
