Toncoin Scammers Lure Victims into Pyramid Scheme in Telegram

Crypto scammers have been using Telegram to lure victims into a pyramid scheme centered around Toncoin, promising easy income and profits. The scammers use convincing tactics, including videos, instructions, and screenshots, to make it seem like a legitimate system.

The scheme begins with users creating a cryptocurrency wallet in an unofficial bot for storing crypto in Telegram. They are then asked to buy from 5.5 to 501 Toncoin, which costs around $5-6 per coin at current rates.

After purchasing the coins, users are told to 'activate' a second bot by buying an 'accelerator plan,' which comes with promised commissions ranging from 30% to 70%. However, no matter which plan is chosen, the money ends up in the scammers' control.

The main source of income for this scheme is other people. Users are encouraged to invite at least five friends to join the private group and purchase their own accelerator plans, promising a fixed payment of 25 Toncoin per friend invited and a commission from each plan purchased by referrals.
