Toobit Commended for Strong Security Measures in CoinGecko Report
Toobit has received recognition in CoinGecko's 2026 State of Crypto Security Report for its robust security measures. The exchange features a Bee-Safe framework, which includes three tiers covering accounts, assets, and infrastructure. This framework is designed to protect users from various types of threats. Toobit also utilizes cold wallet storage, Proof of Reserves, real-time monitoring, and the Toobit Shield Fund to ensure customer funds are secure.
According to the report, security firm Hacken ran penetration testing across Toobit's web and API systems and its mobile applications in August 2026. The tests returned no Critical or High-severity issues, with all seven Medium-severity findings being resolved. Additionally, CoinGecko noted that Toobit keeps 1:1+ Proof of Reserves, with BTC, ETH, USDT, and USDC ratios above 100%. This allows account holders to verify their balances through Merkle-tree verification.
The report highlights the importance of security in the crypto industry. Between January 2025 and July 2026, CoinGecko counted $3.63 billion lost across 245 incidents, with the ten largest events responsible for more than 72% of that total. TRM Labs separately logged 207 hacks in the first six months of 2026, making it the most recorded in any half-year stretch.
