Toobit Expands Penetration Testing with Hacken to Cover Web and API Infrastructure

Share

Crypto exchange Toobit has taken its security measures to the next level by expanding penetration testing with Web3 cybersecurity firm Hacken. The latest round of tests, conducted in August 2026, covered not only Toobit's mobile applications but also its web platform and API infrastructure.

Hacken carried out three separate assessments, finding no Critical or High-severity vulnerabilities across the tests. Seven Medium-severity findings were recorded, which Toobit subsequently fixed, including issues related to application data handling and access controls.

The expansion of penetration testing is a significant development for Toobit, as it brings more of its infrastructure under external testing. This move comes at a time when attackers increasingly target the infrastructure surrounding crypto platforms rather than relying solely on weaknesses in individual smart contracts.
