Toobit Shines in CoinGecko's 2026 Crypto Security Report with Bee-Safe Framework and Shield Fund
Toobit, an award-winning global cryptocurrency exchange, has been featured in CoinGecko's 2026 State of Crypto Security Report. The report examines the changing threat landscape across the digital asset industry and measures exchanges use to protect trader assets.
The report highlights Toobit's Bee-Safe security framework, which combines account, asset, and infrastructure protections. This includes two-factor authentication, anti-phishing verification, withdrawal address allowlisting, and security controls for newly added addresses. Over 90% of the exchange's assets are stored in offline multi-signature cold wallets.
Toobit also maintains 1:1+ Proof of Reserves, with BTC, ETH, USDT, and USDC reserve ratios above 100%. Traders can independently verify that their balances are included in the exchange's reserves through Merkle-tree verification. Additionally, Toobit has a Shield Fund, launched in October 2025 with an initial value of $50 million to cover eligible losses resulting from technical or security incidents originating from the exchange.
CoinGecko recorded $3.63 billion in losses across 245 security incidents between January 2025 and July 2026, with the 10 largest incidents accounting for more than 72% of total losses. TRM Labs separately recorded 207 hacks in the first half of 2026, the highest number it has observed in a six-month period.
