Top Altcoins to Watch: Chainlink, Hyperliquid, and More Make Waves
Chainlink (LINK) has partnered with the US Department of Commerce to publish official Bureau of Economic Analysis data on-chain for the first time. This partnership is significant as it's a sitting US federal agency choosing Chainlink's infrastructure to distribute its own data.
Other notable developments include Aave selecting Chainlink's CCIP as the default cross-chain engine under its Stable Vaults product, and Robinhood Chain adopting Chainlink as its official oracle provider for tokenized assets. Chainlink Data Feeds are now available across ten blockchain networks, including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, and Ethereum.
Hyperliquid (HYPE) has been a standout performer, with a 1,519% increase in value from its November 2024 token generation event. The protocol's tokenized real-world assets account for about 54% of its weekly trading volume, surpassing every crypto perpetuals category combined.
Stellar (XLM) continues to build out its case as a production-ready blockchain for regulated assets, with notable additions including Tradable committing to bring up to $1 billion in tokenized private credit assets to the network. The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation has also confirmed plans to connect its tokenized securities platform to Stellar.
Aave (AAVE) has had an active few weeks going into August, rolling out Stable Vaults and launching Aave V4 on Avalanche. Institutional interest has followed, with Aave's Horizon market holding roughly $540 million in total assets as of July.
