Tori Finance Brings Institutional Strategies to DeFi via Pendle
Tori Finance brings institutional-grade trading strategies on-chain to provide users with alternative yield options. These strategies, used by professional trading desks, include money-market carry, futures arbitrage, and calendar spreads. They are delta-neutral, meaning they're hedged back to USD and not dependent on crypto market direction.
Tori's synthetic dollar, trUSD, is backed by these trading positions and channels the returns into a on-chain token. Staking trUSD mints strUSD, a yield-bearing token that automatically compounds the strategy's returns. Both trUSD and strUSD are now live on Pendle, where they can be split into PT (fixed yield) and YT (floating yield exposure), maturing 26 November 2026.
Pendle allows users to decide exactly how they want exposure to that yield: locked in and fixed or floating and leveraged. PT-trUSD is pricing a fixed rate of 9.51%, while PT-strUSD offers around 11.56%. On the other hand, YT-trUSD / YT-strUSD gives users leveraged exposure to the floating yield, currently around 33x.
Tori's backing includes partnerships with regulated desks, including one managing $10-20B for pension and trust funds. Looking ahead, Tori has multi-chain expansion planned via Chainlink's CCIP (a burn-and-mint cross-chain token standard), which would extend trUSD and strUSD access beyond Ethereum.
