Traditional Assets Outshine Cryptocurrencies in 6-Year Performance Study
A recent study by Taurex has found that traditional assets have outperformed cryptocurrencies since 2020. The study tracked the performance of major US and UK stocks, gold, and Dubai real estate from end-2020 to August 12, 2026.
The study ranked these assets by percentage gains, with Google emerging as the top performer. From $87.63 in 2020 to $342.37 in 2026, Google's stock has increased by a whopping 290.7% over the past six years.
BAE Systems also saw significant growth, increasing from $672.8 in 2020 to $2,277 in 2026, with a change of 238.4%. Gold was another top performer, rising from $1,769 in 2020 to $4,442 in 2026, an increase of 151%.
The study also highlighted the performance of Apple and Microsoft, both of which have seen significant growth since 2020. Apple's stock increased by 132.1%, while Microsoft's rose by 127.8%. The study noted that these companies have been expanding their cloud businesses during this period.
