Trezor has activated its ERC-7730 clear signing feature on its Safe wallets and Model T device, marking a significant step forward in transaction security. This new layer of protection replaces the blind signing process that had been linked to several high-profile hacks, including the $1.5 billion Bybit breach.

The ERC-7730 standard decodes smart contract calls into readable actions, token amounts, and destination addresses, providing users with a clear understanding of what they're signing. This feature works automatically through Trezor Suite, WalletConnect, and Trezor Connect, requiring no manual setup or configuration.

Supported devices include the Trezor Safe 7, Safe 5, Safe 3, and Model T, while supported protocols at launch cover 1inch, Aave, Lido, Tether, LiFi, and Hyperliquid. The Ethereum Foundation stewards the open-source standard, which was originally developed by Ledger.
