Trezor and BitBox Warn Users of Phishing Emails Targeting Hardware Wallet Holders

Trezor and BitBox have warned users about phishing emails that impersonate the companies. The emails claim to be urgent security notices, but they are actually attempts to trick users into revealing sensitive information.

Trezor's email provider was breached, and users received a fraudulent message titled 'Critical Security Alert: STM32 Entropy Vulnerability.'

The company warned users not to click on any links in the email, as it is a phishing attempt. Trezor has taken down the domain associated with the phishing email and is investigating the incident.

BitBox also issued a warning after its newsletter provider was likely compromised. The company's preliminary review found that several other Bitcoin companies had been targeted through the same provider.
