Trezor Shipping Partner Data Breach Affects 67K More US Customers
Trezor, a hardware wallet provider, has announced that its shipping partner's data breach affected an additional 67,000 US customers. This brings the total number of users impacted by the breach to an estimated 133,000.
The exposed information includes full customer details such as name, email address, phone number, shipping address, and order specifics.
Trezor attributes the breach to its shipping partner, ShipMonk, which failed to delete customer data despite receiving written assurances from Trezor.
The company warns that the exposed data may be used for phishing attacks or social engineering scams, potentially putting users' digital assets at risk. Phishing attacks and social engineering scams have been a major concern in the crypto industry, with $306 million lost in the first quarter of this year alone.
