Triple-A Suffers $9.7M Hack as Crypto Exploits Reach New Heights
Triple-A, a payment protocol that enables global payments, has fallen victim to another cryptocurrency hack. The exploit drained $9.7 million across four chains: TRON, Ethereum, Polygon, and Arbitrum.
The attacker bridged the stolen funds to Ethereum, consolidating them in an address containing 5,227 ETH, worth approximately $9.696 million. This is not an isolated incident, as hackers have exploited various blockchain ecosystems recently, including three separate incidents just two days ago that resulted in losses of over $35 million.
Notably, the Arbitrum bridge has been involved in several recent hacks. The Triple-A team has yet to acknowledge the attack, and deposits remain live, allowing new funds to be drained. This incident raises concerns about hot wallet custody failures and the vulnerability of blockchain infrastructure to attacks.
