Triple-A Suffers $9.7M Hot Wallet Breach Across Four Blockchains
Singapore-based crypto payments firm Triple-A has suffered a significant loss after its hot wallets were breached across four different blockchains, including TRON, Ethereum, Polygon, and Arbitrum. The attackers made off with more than $9.7 million in assets, which were then consolidated into a single Ethereum wallet.
On-chain analyst Specter first flagged the suspicious transactions on X, noting that deposits were still being drained at the time of discovery, suggesting the team was unaware of the breach. The analyst's observation suggests that the breach was ongoing when detected.
Triple-A has not confirmed the breach or suspended services despite its regulatory standing as a Major Payment Institution in Singapore and recent authorizations in the EU and Dubai. This incident adds to a brutal week for crypto security, with Lookonchain reporting $35.55 million in losses from three separate attacks on July 23.
