Triple-A Wallets Breached: 5,280 ETH Drained in Quiet Incident
A Singapore-based stablecoin payments firm called Triple-A has reported an unauthorized access to its wallets holding digital assets. The company says the breach was contained without affecting client money, which is held separately in trust accounts with safeguarding institutions.
The incident occurred on July 25 and affected operational accounts, which were later secured after certain services were placed in maintenance mode for approximately three hours. Triple-A claims that all services have been restored and transactions are processing normally across all markets.
On-chain data reveals that 5,287.08568411 ETH was drained into a single address, identified as 0x01F83B5d4fb30E8AA3daC1681B4048D9135253b1. The transfers were made on July 24 and 25, but the exact timing of the unauthorized access remains unclear.
Triple-A is working with cybersecurity specialists, the Singapore Police Force, and other authorities to recover the assets. However, the company has not disclosed the size of its treasury loss or explained how the wallets were accessed.
