TripleA Hacker Moves Stolen Ethereum Through Tornado Cash, Evading Detection
A wallet linked to the hacker behind the July 25 breach of payment infrastructure firm TripleA has transferred $4.97 million in Ethereum through the privacy protocol Tornado Cash, according to blockchain security firm PeckShield.
This transaction represents a significant portion of the approximately $10 million in cryptocurrency stolen during the attack, which exploited vulnerabilities in the company's infrastructure.
Tornado Cash is a decentralized mixing service that allows users to obscure the trail of their cryptocurrency by depositing funds into a shared pool and withdrawing them using a different address.
